Acquisition of Energy System Services completed 

Altenia has completed the acquisition of 100% of Energy System Services (ESS), a subsidiary of BayWa r.e. Italia specialising in the construction of high- and medium-voltage electrical infrastructure and services for photovoltaic plants. 

Based in Foggia and employing around 30 highly specialised professionals, ESS brings to the Terna Energy Solutions Group a wealth of technical expertise gained in the design and construction of high- and medium-voltage substations, the construction and maintenance of photovoltaic plants, and the execution of the related civil and electrical works.

The integration of ESS expands Altenia’s operational capabilities and strengthens its presence across Central and Southern Italy, enabling it to respond even more effectively to the growing demand for energy infrastructure supporting the country’s energy transition.

The operation is therefore part of the growth journey of TES’s industrial platform, built on the integration of complementary businesses and capabilities to deliver an increasingly comprehensive and reliable offering to customers throughout Italy.
