In recent years, Tamini has consolidated its collaboration with the Riva Group, offering the customer ad hoc solutions intended to meet various plants’ needs while keeping high level of maintenance services at the production sites across Europe. The Riva Group, one of the most important European steel manufacturing players, engaged Tamini to improve the quality of the transformers in its main EU production sites in Italy, Spain, France and Belgium. For this purpose, Tamini has supplied over the years more than 900 MVA of transformers to the customer. In some cases the supply has involved a power increase in the production sites, while in others the revamping of existing equipment, always respecting the constraints of the sites. The supply includes, for instance, a 160 MVA power transformer for the facility in Spain and a 170 MVA power transformer for the facility in Belgium, both fully built and inspected at Tamini’s site in Ospitaletto (Brescia). The Riva Group has always trusted the expertise of Terna Energy Solutions and the recent provision of a STATCOM for the facility in Caronno Pertusella (Varese) confirms this commitment.
