Thanks to Altenia, we guarantee all-round support for the construction, operation and maintenance of high-voltage substations and photovoltaic plants. Our services are, designed around the customer’s needs and are based on the Terna Group’s quality and safety standards.
We provide customers with our knowledge and expertise for the management of the entire asset life cycle, from design to construction and commissioning.
Main services:
- Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC): we design and realize full turnkey EPC systems (e.g. electrical substations, overhead and underground connections), in accordance with the highest quality standards;
- Revamping: we design and realize solutions to upgrade electrical assets, helping customers identify the most effective options to restore or improve efficiency;
- Operation & Maintenance (O&M): we offer services for assets’ maintenance and monitoring, with the goal of improving performance and reliability.
We implement end-to-end solutions in Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) mode and offer Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services to maximize the availability and performance of our customers’ plants.
Main services:
- Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC): with a strong track record of more than 400 MWp of ground-installed systems and 100 MWp installed on industrial rooftops, we are the ideal and bankable partner to support our customers in every stage of the project, from initial permitting phase to the design and construction, using certified components of the best quality;
- Operation & Maintenance (O&M): we manage over 1.3 GWp of PV assets, for which we implement tailored maintenance plans to optimise the efficiency. Additionally, we own a proprietary platform for real-time ticketing management to maximise plants availability;
- Revamping/repowering: we identify the most appropriate solution to recover the highest levels of performance of the plants and also to repower them – according to customers’ needs – embracing technological progress using the best components in the market and offering a unique in-house service for equipment regeneration;
- Inverter refurbishment and repair: through the subsidiary HBA, we refurbish, repair and rent photovoltaic inverters, retrofit solar trackers and develop automation solutions applied to the production of energy from renewable sources.
We offer Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for utility-scale storage plants, including design of technical drawings, procurement and logistics, site management and testing to ensued the correct functioning of the plant.
Main services:
- Design of technical drawings: we prepare all the documentation necessary for the construction of the plant, from preliminary drawings to as-builts;
- Procurement and logistics: we manage all aspects related to the procurement of materials needed for the construction of the plant and the logistics of the activities;
- Site management: we take care of all the phases that affect the activities on site through dedicated project managers;
- Testing and inspection: we carry out all the necessary verifications to ensure the proper functioning of the plant.

Through a proprietary Fibre Optic asset that is extremely widespread and redundant nationwide, together with the availability of transferable space in Housing, we provide connectivity services to the market guaranteeing high levels of reliability. - Indefeasible right of use (IRU) on optical fibres: we provide our customers with primarily aerial optical fibre infrastructure with higher performance and reliability than the terrestrial one;
- Housing: we provide housing services, consisting in outdoor and indoor spaces equipped to accomodate customers’ network transmission devices.
