Realized by:

EDP Renewables Italia, the Italian branch of the leading renewable energies (international) group belonging to the main Portuguese utility company EDP (Energias de Portugal), has entrusted Terna Energy Solutions (TES) with the creation of a new electrical substation for the connection of its new 25.2 MW wind power plant in Aquilonia (Avellino). The project saw TES involved across the entire value chain of the executive design and the construction of the substation. The activities took place in a challenging context given the extremely strict timelines requested by the customer, the need to review many technical aspects during the process, and the unique geographic and weather-related aspects of the site. Despite the complexity of the situation, TES successfully launched the plant’s operations in respect of the timeframes and design costs.
