Avvenia has engineered a monitoring and accounting plan for the Istituto Biochimico Italiano Giovanni Lorenzini with the goal of identifying possible areas for energy consumption optimisation
Istituto Biochimico Italiano Giovanni Lorenzini (IBI) – IBIGEN group, an Italian company founded by the homonymous professor in 1918 and internationally active for over 100 years in the injectable products market – and Avvenia have signed a contract for the design and implementation of a monitoring and diagnostics system to assess the performance of two different energy vectors at the Pontinia (Latina) production facility: industrial steam and electricity. The engineered solution is based on DIANA, Avvenia’s proprietary software platform, which has been appropriately customised to meet various use cases according to IBI’s needs. Specifically, through processing of data gathered using DIANA from the customer’s various software interfaces, together with IBI, Avvenia has defined and implemented a set of custom KPIs to monitor performance, detect shifts from optimal patterns and report any anomalies or faults. The overall diagnostics package is presented through a custom dashboard designed together with IBI. Extensive customisation of the solution identified by Avvenia will provide the customer with an energy accounting model supporting its general accounting model, efficiently enabling monitoring and cost control of the various pharmaceutical items produced at the site, including the specific energy costs.
